The Co-Op Club – Custom Logo Design
The Sound of Breaking Glass – Creative Studio was commissioned to create a fresh, distinctive logo for The Co-Op Club, the entertainment bar within the Waterfront Café & General Store at Church Point, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The brief was clear — the venue was undergoing a refurbishment and needed a bold, memorable identity to elevate the space and enhance its appeal to both local patrons and visitors from around the world.
The Concept
Situated directly on the waterfront at Church Point, the café and venue embrace a strong nautical influence, reflective of their Pittwater location. The Co-Op Club also has a vibrant live music culture, with performances every Sunday evening, making music a core part of its personality.
To unite these two defining elements — nautical heritage and live music — the logo design features:
- A weathered, hand-drawn style font to convey a relaxed, coastal atmosphere
- An anchor merged with a treble clef, symbolising both the club’s maritime setting and its commitment to music and entertainment
Outcome
The resulting identity is both visually engaging and contextually relevant, providing the venue with a strong emblem that works across signage, menus, promotional materials, and merchandise. It enhances The Co-Op Club’s brand presence while staying true to the spirit of Church Point’s waterfront community.
